Job summary

GEMS International School – Dubai Hills in Dubai Hills is inviting expressions of interest for a Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join the IB world school community from August 2027. The school delivers the full IB continuum and welcomes experienced IB educators as well as teachers from British and international curricula.

The successful candidate will deliver inquiry-based lessons, differentiate for all students, collaborate to develop the curriculum and uphold the IB Learner Profile while

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised degree-level teaching qualification with Mathematics specialization.
• Minimum of three years' experience teaching Secondary Mathematics, preferably IB MYP/DP.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver inquiry-based, concept-driven learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Mathematics lessons.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs.
• Assess progress and use data to inform teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practice.

Position Overview

We are welcoming expressions of interest from outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from August 2027.

We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.

Skills

Successful Candidate

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with a specialism in Mathematics.
• Have a minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Mathematics, ideally including IB MYP and/or DP. Where candidates do not have IB experience, A-Level experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Be passionate about inspiring a love of Mathematics and developing confident, critical and globally minded learners.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Bring the vision, energy and commitment to contribute to an innovative, collaborative and diverse international school community.
