GEMS International School – Dubai Hills is seeking outstanding Secondary Science Teachers to join from August 2027. The school offers the full IB continuum and acts as the official Centre of Excellence for Aeronautics, Aviation and Space.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level with a specialism in Science.
• Minimum of three years' experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally IB MYP/DP.
• Strong subject knowledge and commitment to delivering high-quality inquiry-based learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.

Skills Description

Successful Candidate

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with a specialism in Science.
• Have a minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally including IB MYP and/or DP. Where candidates do not have IB experience, A-Level experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Be passionate about inspiring a love of Science and developing confident, critical and globally minded learners.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Bring the vision, energy and commitment to contribute to an innovative, collaborative and diverse international school community.
