Job summary

GEMS International School – Dubai Hills, located in Dubai Hills, is seeking outstanding Secondary Physics Teachers for August 2027. The school delivers the full IB continuum and emphasizes inquiry-led learning, collaboration, and global mindedness in a diverse international community.

Successful candidates will hold a degree in physics teaching, with at least three years’ experience in Secondary Physics (IB MYP/DP preferred).

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification at degree level with Physics specialization.
• Minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Physics, ideally IB MYP/DP; A-Level experience preferred if IB not held.
• Strong subject knowledge and commitment to inquiry-based learning.
• Passionate about inspiring love of Physics and developing globally minded learners.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Energy and commitment to contribute to an innovative, collaborative international school community.

Skills Description

Successful Candidate

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with a specialism in Physics.
• Have a minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Physics, ideally including IB MYP and/or DP. Where candidates do not have IB experience, A-Level experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Be passionate about inspiring a love of Physics and developing confident, critical and globally minded learners.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Bring the vision, energy and commitment to contribute to an innovative, collaborative and diverse international school community.
