Job summary

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills is seeking outstanding Secondary Mathematics teachers to join from August 2027. We welcome IB educators as well as strong British and international curriculum experts who value inquiry-led learning and developing confident, curious learners.

The successful candidate will have a recognised degree-level teaching qualification with a Mathematics specialism, 3+ years' experience, and a passion for inspiring students while upholding GEMS Education and IB values.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level with Mathematics specialism.
• Minimum of three years' experience teaching Secondary Mathematics.
• IB MYP/DP experience preferred; A-Level experience accepted if IB not present.

Position Overview

We are welcoming expressions of interest from outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from August 2027.

We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.

Successful Candidate

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with a specialism in Mathematics.
• Have a minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Mathematics, ideally including IB MYP and/or DP. Where candidates do not have IB experience, A-Level experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Be passionate about inspiring a love of Mathematics and developing confident, critical and globally minded learners.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Bring the vision, energy and commitment to contribute to an innovative, collaborative and diverse international school community.
