Job summary

Confidential Hires is seeking a Manager – Fleet Maintenance in Dubai to oversee the school transport fleet. You will ensure vehicle availability, safety, and readiness through preventive maintenance, repairs, and efficient workshop operations.

The role requires leading maintenance teams, managing budgets, and coordinating with operations to meet peak period demands while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience in fleet maintenance management for transportation/school or commercial fleets.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams, workshops, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, fleet safety, maintenance planning, and workshop operations.
• Experience with fleet performance monitoring, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and fleet maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet maintenance operations to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for the fleet.
• Monitor downtime, costs, repairs, and fleet performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Manage workshops, maintenance teams, spare parts, and external providers.
• Establish maintenance schedules aligned with school transport operations.
• Analyze recurring defects and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Monitor budgets and seek cost efficiencies without compromising safety or service quality.
• Coordinate with School Transport Operations to ensure fleet readiness during peak periods.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet condition, activities, costs, and KPIs.
