Day-to-day service execution and maintenance activities will be handled by the Operations Manager – Service, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, technicians, admin, CRM, and support teams. The Manager – Auto Division will ensure that the division is commercially viable, operationally controlled, customer-focused, and aligned with XAD's business objectives.

The role will be supported by XAD's centralized Accounts, HR, Admin, Procurement, Logistics, and Management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Division Leadership & Business Setup – Lead the setup, structure, operating model, manpower plan, service offerings, pricing strategy, and growth roadmap for XAD's Auto Division.
  2. Business Growth & Market Development – Identify and develop revenue opportunities from corporate customers, fleet owners, individual customers, insurance-related work, service contracts, maintenance packages, and strategic partnerships.
  3. Client & Customer Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fleet clients, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders to support customer retention and repeat business.
  4. Service & Maintenance Oversight – Oversee performance of service operations, workshop maintenance, repair delivery, job turnaround, quality control, customer handling, and complaint resolution.
  5. Revenue & Profitability Management – Take ownership of divisional revenue targets, gross margins, operating costs, overhead recovery, and overall profitability of the Auto Division.
  6. Commercial & Pricing Control – Review and approve service pricing, maintenance packages, quotations, discounts, customer offers, supplier costs, and job profitability within delegated authority.
  7. Operational Governance – Ensure proper SOPs are implemented for job cards, inspections, customer approvals, estimates, parts issuance, repairs, quality checks, delivery notes, invoicing, and customer sign-off.
  8. Resource & Capacity Planning – Coordinate with internal departments to ensure adequate manpower, workshop capacity, tools, equipment, spare parts, suppliers, and subcontracted support are available.
  9. Risk Management – Identify and manage commercial, operational, customer, quality, safety, financial, procurement, and cash‑flow risks within the Auto Division.
  10. Management Reporting – Provide regular updates to senior management on revenue, profitability, service volumes, workshop performance, customer complaints, collections, risks, and key decisions required.
Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive service, workshop operations, fleet maintenance, auto business management, or related industry.
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial or business unit leadership role.
  • Strong UAE automotive service, repair, fleet, or maintenance market experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing revenue, costs, service operations, customer relationships, and team performance.
  • Strong understanding of workshop operations, maintenance services, customer handling, pricing, vendor management, and profitability control.
  • Experience dealing with corporate customers, fleet owners, suppliers, subcontractors, insurance‑related customers, and service teams.
Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • MBA or commercial/business management qualification will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with strong automotive service experience and proven market credibility may also be considered.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Auto Business Knowledge – Strong understanding of automotive service, maintenance, repair operations, fleet support, and customer service models.
  • Business Development – Ability to identify opportunities, develop customers, and build a sustainable revenue pipeline.
  • Commercial Acumen – Knowledge of pricing, margins, cost control, billing, collections, and profitability.
  • Service Operations – Ability to oversee customer intake, job flow, workshop coordination, turnaround time, and delivery commitments.
  • Customer Management – Ability to handle corporate clients, fleet customers, retail customers, complaints, and service expectations.
  • Leadership – Ability to guide Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, supervisors, technicians, admin, CRM, and support functions.

Role Boundary

The Manager – Auto Division is responsible for business growth, divisional profitability, customer development, service strategy, commercial direction, operational oversight, and overall performance of the Auto Division. The role is not expected to personally handle every service job, repair task, or day‑to‑day workshop activity. Daily execution remains with the Operations Manager – Service, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, technicians, admin, and CRM team. However, the Manager – Auto Division must maintain enough oversight to ensure that the division remains commercially controlled, operationally disciplined, customer‑focused, and profitable.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be an automotive business professional with strong UAE market knowledge, customer relationships, service operations understanding, and commercial maturity. He should be able to grow the Auto Division without creating unnecessary overhead, develop the right customer segments, control service quality, protect margins, and coordinate delivery through service, maintenance, CRM, and centralized support departments. The candidate should not be only a salesperson and should not be only a workshop person. The role requires a balanced profile: growth‑focused, commercially disciplined, operationally aware, customer‑focused, and capable of leading the Auto Division as a profit center.
