Job summary

Classic Apex technical Services LLC in Dubai, UAE, seeks an experienced General Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily MEP maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. You will supervise technicians, coordinate preventive and corrective tasks, manage AMC contracts, and ensure safe, high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

General Maintenance Supervisor – MEP (AC, Electrical & Plumbing)

Job Title: General Maintenance Supervisor – MEP

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced General Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance activities, including air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. The candidate will supervise technicians, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), attend client complaints, and ensure that all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. AC & HVAC Maintenance Supervise servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of split AC, ducted AC, and other HVAC systems. Coordinate preventive maintenance, filter cleaning, drain flushing, and inspection of AC units. Identify cooling issues, refrigerant leaks, compressor faults, and drainage problems. Ensure timely completion of AC maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.


2. Electrical Maintenance Supervise electrical repairs, lighting replacement, socket repairs, and minor wiring works. Coordinate inspection and troubleshooting of DBs, MCBs, circuit breakers, and electrical equipment. Ensure electrical works comply with applicable safety standards and approved procedures. Ensure electrical isolation and safe working practices before maintenance activities.


3. Plumbing Maintenance Supervise repairs of water leaks, taps, mixers, valves, and sanitary fixtures. Coordinate drainage blockage clearance and repairs to water supply lines. Inspect water heaters, pumps, flushing systems, and related plumbing equipment. Ensure plumbing complaints are resolved within agreed response times.


4. General Building Maintenance Supervise minor civil works, painting, carpentry, door and lock repairs, and other handyman activities. Inspect villas, apartments, commercial buildings, and common areas. Conduct site inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become major problems.


5. AMC & Work Order Management Plan and supervise scheduled preventive maintenance visits for AMC properties. Allocate daily work orders to technicians and monitor job completion. Maintain maintenance checklists, service reports, job cards, and asset records. Ensure client complaints and emergency calls are attended to within agreed SLA response times. Coordinate quotations and obtain approval before undertaking additional chargeable works.


6. Team & Operations Management Supervise AC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and general maintenance technicians. Prepare daily schedules, assign jobs, and monitor staff productivity. Check workmanship, material usage, tools, and spare parts requirements. Coordinate with the Operations Manager, office coordinator, suppliers, and clients. Provide technical guidance and arrange escalation for complex faults.


7. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure technicians use appropriate PPE and follow site safety procedures. Maintain safe working practices for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and work-at-height activities. Ensure proper handling and storage of refrigerants, tools, and maintenance materials. Follow applicable UAE regulations, building requirements, and client HSE procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in the UAE.

Experience supervising AC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance technicians.

Knowledge of residential and commercial building maintenance and AMC operations.

Ability to prepare job reports, maintenance schedules, material requests, and quotations.

Good communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and team management skills.

UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Familiarity with work order or facility management software is an advantage.
