Job summary

voco Dubai, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Spa Therapist to deliver high-quality treatments in a luxury hotel setting. You will conduct thorough consultations, perform massages, facials, body wraps, and other wellness therapies, and maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Ideally you have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a four- or five-star property, with strong communication skills, ability to work with diverse teams, attention to detail, and a licensed or certified

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a four- or five-star hotel or comparable industry.
• Ability to engage with teams from diverse cultures and communicate effectively.
• Quality-oriented with attention to detail, high-performance standards, and multitasking ability.
• Spa Therapist licensed or certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established health and safety procedures in every treatment for guests’ well-being, utmost comfort, and satisfaction.
• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any health concerns.
• Perform a variety of spa treatments such as massages, facials, body wraps, and other beauty and wellness therapies.
• Use appropriate techniques, products, and equipment to deliver high-quality services.
• Complete all necessary paperwork (questionnaire, consultation forms) correctly and refer to supervisor/manager prior to any treatment delivery. Document pertinent information on the guest’s personal record.
• Massage the body, using techniques such as kneading, rubbing, and stroking to stimulate blood circulation, relax contracted muscles, or relieve other conditions.
• Administer steam or dry heat, ultraviolet, infrared or water treatments on request of the guest.
• Provide directions to clients in activities such as reducing or remedial exercises.
• Record treatments furnished to customers.
• Ensure treatment rooms are tidy and all items are available (towels, candles, oils, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all hygiene and safety protocols.
• Adhere to spa policies and procedures related to cleanliness, sanitation, and client confidentiality.
• Promote spa services and products to clients, aiming to enhance their overall spa experience.
• Upsell additional services or products when appropriate.
