Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is looking for a Reservations Agent to be the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations, amendments and enquiries with prompt, friendly service.

Located on Hayat Island, the resort offers luxury beachfront stays, multiple restaurants and beaches. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Reservations or Front Office within a hotel or resort.
• Good communication skills with a warm, professional and guest-focused approach.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Confidence using computers and entering reservation information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple guest requests.
• Positive team-player attitude and the ability to communicate with guests and departments.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle individual and group reservations through the hotel’s reservation system.
• Respond to guest enquiries by phone and other channels in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Keep up to date with room rates, promotions, packages and hotel information.
• Upsell rooms and recommend options to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Process reservations received through travel agencies, wholesalers, and sales teams.
• Provide information about the resort, facilities, attractions and directions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Front Office and other departments to ensure details are communicated.
• Maintain accurate reservation records, daily logs and reports.
