Job summary

InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is seeking a Reservations Agent to be one of the first points of contact for our guests, handling room reservations and inquiries with prompt, friendly and accurate service.

Fluent English is required; previous reservations or front office experience is preferred. You will upsell rooms, share information about the resort, and coordinate with Sales and Front Office to maximise occupancy and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Reservations or Front Office within a hotel or resort is preferred.
• Fluent English with good reading, writing and communication skills.
• Able to upsell and provide accurate information to guests.

• Handle individual and group reservations and amendments through the hotel’s reservation system.

Every great stay starts before our guests even arrive. As a Reservations Agent, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our guests, helping them plan their stay with confidence. From handling room reservations and enquiries to sharing information about our resort, you’ll provide prompt, friendly and accurate service while helping maximise every booking opportunity.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Handling individual and group reservations, amendments and cancellations through the hotel’s reservation system.
• Responding to guest enquiries by phone and other communication channels in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Keeping up to date with room rates, promotions, packages and hotel information to provide guests with accurate details.
• Upselling rooms and recommending suitable options to help maximise occupancy and room revenue.
• Processing reservations received through travel agencies, wholesalers, sales teams and reservation centres.
• Providing information about the resort, its facilities, local attractions and travel directions.
• Coordinating with Sales, Front Office and other departments to ensure reservation details and guest requirements are communicated correctly.
• Maintaining accurate reservation records, daily logs and reports while following hotel standards and procedures.

What We need from you:

• Previous experience in Reservations or Front Office, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
• Good communication skills with a warm, professional and guest-focused approach.
• Fluent English, with additional languages considered an advantage.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Confidence using computers and entering reservation information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple guest requests efficiently.
• A positive team-player attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues and other departments.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.
