Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts seeks a Door Ambassador to join our Front Office team at Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. You will be the welcoming face, greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, and ensuring smooth arrivals and departures at the main entrance.

You’ll assist with luggage, directions, and transportation, coordinating closely with Bell Service and Concierge. A polished appearance and hospitality passion are essential, with flexibility for weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational qualification in Hospitality.
• At least 1 year of guest services experience, luxury hotel/resort preferred.
• Experience as Door Ambassador/Doorman or similar is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; English required; other languages a plus.
• Warm, confident, outgoing personality with hospitality enthusiasm.
• Knowledge of guest service standards and ability to create positive impressions.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs, handle requests calmly during busy times.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance with attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods; assist with luggage.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends/evenings/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and departure, creating a warm first and last impression.
• Maintain a professional greeting presence at the resort entrance.
• Assist guests with luggage, transport, and directions; collaborate with Bell Service/Concierge.
• Recognise returning guests, VIPs, and IHG One Rewards members for personalized service.
• Anticipate needs, respond promptly, ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Provide accurate information about facilities, dining, activities, and transport options.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Bell Service, Security and other departments.
• Support Bell Service operations as needed, including luggage handling.
• Maintain high grooming standards and luxury hospitality demeanor.
• Keep entrance clean, organized, and aligned with service standards.
