Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Manager - Housekeeping to support the Director of Housekeeping and ensure top-tier cleanliness and guest comfort across guest rooms and public areas.

You will lead the housekeeping team, coordinate room readiness, and collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and Security to deliver seamless operations for a luxury property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Operations, Hotel Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4–5 years of housekeeping experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within a luxury environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, linen management and safety procedures.
• Proven leadership experience in supervising teams and driving performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Coordinate room assignments, cleaning priorities and staff deployment according to occupancy and VIP movements.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor room status and ensure timely inspection and release of rooms.
• Lead, train and develop team members to maintain service standards.
• Communicate occupancy levels, VIP arrivals, and department updates in daily briefings.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, Security and other departments.
• Ensure VIP rooms and suites are prepared accurately and on time.
• Respond to guest requests professionally and follow up as needed.
• Manage staffing levels, rosters and overtime to meet demand.
• Control inventory of linen, supplies and equipment; report maintenance defects.
