Job summary

Atlantis Resort in Dubai seeks an experienced Assistant Manager to lead housekeeping operations across rooms and public areas. You will supervise teams, manage rosters, ensure high cleanliness standards, and coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduate qualification in Hotel Management preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years in a comparable housekeeping supervisory or assistant management role.
• Experience in a luxury five-star hotel or resort environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of guest room cleaning standards and public area operations.
• Experience with room allocation, staffing, roster planning, and productivity management.
• Knowledge of HotSOS or comparable systems advantageous.
• Strong coaching, training, and leadership skills.
• Good English verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in MS Office; computer-literate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily housekeeping activities across guest rooms and public areas.
• Monitor room turnover to support timely arrivals and readiness.
• Review occupancy and VIP requirements for daily resource planning.
• Prepare rosters according to workload and priorities.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate service expectations.
• Allocate assignments and monitor completion.
• Track productivity and seek efficiency improvements.
• Inspect rooms, corridors, and public areas against resort standards.
• Conduct quality audits and address deficiencies.
• Coordinate room readiness with Front Office.
• Collaborate with VIP Services and Guest Services for high-profile guests.
• Liaise with Facilities/Maintenance on defects.
• Monitor HotSOS requests and ensure timely task completion.
• Follow up on maintenance issues affecting room availability.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance access.
• Maintain deep cleaning schedules and track progress.
• Organize special cleaning projects based on occupancy.
• Monitor linen, amenities, supplies and stock controls.
• Support stock controls and report shortages.
• Keep storerooms organized and supplied.
• Respond to guest concerns professionally.
• Maintain visible operational presence and guest engagement.
• Escalate issues to senior housekeeping leadership.
• Coach supervisors and attendants; deliver or coordinate training.
• Support performance reviews and development discussions.
• Address performance issues and contribute to improvement processes.
• Encourage teamwork and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor attendance and manpower deployment.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Reinforce use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements.
• Review reports and identify trends affecting cleanliness, readiness, productivity, guest feedback.
• Support initiatives to improve service quality and colleague engagement.
• Maintain clear shift communication and handovers.
• Assist senior management with additional housekeeping projects.
