Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our luxury hotel sales efforts, covering all revenue streams and accounts to ensure comprehensive client servicing and target achievement.

You will build long-term relationships with corporate and leisure clients, develop and execute sales strategies, and collaborate with events, banqueting and revenue teams to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or higher in hospitality or business management is expected.
• Minimum 5 years in a 5-star hotel sales/banqueting.
• Experience representing hotels at trade shows and sales missions.
• Strong numerical and negotiation abilities; proficiency with hotel software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, acquires and manages business opportunities across market segments per the hotel's commercial strategy.
• Identifies new business opportunities and builds relationships with prospective and existing customers to drive revenue.
• Executes sales objectives, strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Manages the sales process from prospecting through to negotiation and account development.
• Quotes and negotiates rates and terms for transient, long-stay, group and other business within approved parameters.
• Maximizes revenue through upselling and cross-selling while following selling strategies.
