Job summary

Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi is seeking a Reservations Agent to process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. You will identify guest needs and determine the appropriate room type while verifying availability and rates.

Job requires knowledge of reservation systems, strong English communication, and upselling abilities to maximize revenue. You will handle OTA and corporate bookings, maintain accuracy, and uphold service standards in a luxury

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of hotel reservations experience, UAE experience an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems (Opera PMS, Opera Cloud, SynXis, CRS, or similar).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to handle room reservations, amendments, cancellations, and special requests accurately.
• Strong upselling skills with a track record of maximizing room revenue.
• Good understanding of room categories, rate structures, packages, and revenue management principles.
• Experience handling OTA, travel agent, corporate, and direct booking channels.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs and determine appropriate room type.
• Verify room type and rate availability; explain guarantees, special rates, and cancellation policies.
• Accommodate and document special requests; input correct codes and rates into the reservation system.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and upsell hotel services.
• Input and access data in reservation system; follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets; uphold service standards in a luxury environment.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
