Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as Handyman or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance and DIY repairs.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out routine general maintenance and minor repair works.
• Handle basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, patching, fixtures, and other handyman tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
• Perform minor repairs in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns.
• Supervise handyman maintenance support activities and ensure work is completed correctly.
• Coordinate with specialized technicians for repairs requiring electrical, HVAC, plumbing or other technical expertise.
• Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance materials in good condition.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption to hotel operations.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality expected within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Report major maintenance issues to the Engineering Maintenance management team.
