Qualifications

• Previous experience as a handyman or maintenance supervisor.
• Hospitality, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Good practical knowledge of general maintenance and DIY repair.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, fixtures, and building maintenance.
• Ability to identify faults and perform minor repairs independently.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Workplace health and safety practices knowledge.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.

Job Summary

We are urgently seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman Supervisor – GENERAL MAINTENANCE Supervisor/ DIY SUPPORT SUPERVISOR "URGENT HIRING" for a leading high-luxury resort hotel in Al Ain.

The successful candidate will supervise and perform day-to-day general maintenance, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and DIY support across the hotel property. The role requires a hands-on professional who can identify maintenance issues, coordinate tasks efficiently, and ensure guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, fixtures, and equipment are maintained to high hospitality standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of overall property maintenance, including building, electrical, mechanical, and equipment troubleshooting, along with proven experience supervising a maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and carry out routine general maintenance and minor repair works.
• Handle basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, patching, fixture repairs, and other handyman tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
• Perform minor repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns.
• Supervise handyman/maintenance support activities and ensure work is completed correctly.
• Coordinate with specialized technicians for repairs requiring electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other technical expertise.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance materials in good condition.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimum disruption to hotel operations.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality expected within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Report major maintenance issues to the Engineering/Maintenance management team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Handyman, General Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role.
• Hospitality, hotel, resort, or facilities maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Good practical knowledge of general maintenance and DIY repair work.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, fixtures, furniture repairs, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out minor repairs independently.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on maintenance work.
• Able to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Basic English communication skills.
