Job summary

Reap HR is urgently seeking a skilled Handyman Supervisor – General Maintenance for a leading luxury resort hotel in Al Ain, UAE.

The role involves supervising day-to-day maintenance, handling basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and fixtures, and coordinating with technicians to keep guest rooms and public areas in pristine condition.

Candidates should have hands-on maintenance experience, previous supervisory exposure, and a commitment to safety and high hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a handyman or maintenance supervisor.
• Hospitality, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Good practical knowledge of general maintenance and DIY repair.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, fixtures, and building maintenance.
• Ability to identify faults and perform minor repairs independently.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Workplace health and safety practices knowledge.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Basic English communication skills and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out routine general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Handle carpentry, plumbing, painting, and fixture repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
• Perform repairs in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
• Coordinate with technicians for electrical, HVAC, plumbing tasks.
• Maintain tools and maintenance materials in good condition.
• Ensure work is safe and causes minimal disruption.
• Report major issues to Engineering/Maintenance management.
