Job summary

Al Raya Group in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is seeking a hands-on General Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across our hotel facilities. You will keep guest rooms, public areas, and equipment in excellent working condition.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, AC maintenance, inspections, logging issues, collaborating with external contractors, and ensuring safety standards while on site.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in hospitality.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic understanding of English preferred.
• Willingness to be on call for urgent repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, AC, and general fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify repair needs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and report recurring issues to management.
• Assist with minor renovations, painting, and equipment installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards when handling tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors/vendors when specialized repairs are required.
