Dorchester Hotel Ltd. is seeking a Lobby Host to provide an exceptional welcome experience at AVA at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. You will greet residents and guests, ensuring adherence to the hotel's high service standards. The ideal candidate will possess a warm personality and attention to detail, with experience in a luxury environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role or within a luxury hotel environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable communication in English; additional languages are an advantage.

What you'll do

• Deliver a warm, polished, and highly personalized welcome experience in the lobby of AVA at Palm Jumeirah, greeting residents, their family members, and visitors with genuine care and professionalism, ensuring every arrival and departure reflects the exceptional standards of Dorchester Collection.
• Work in close partnership with the Doorman and Concierge team to ensure all resident requests are fulfilled seamlessly, supporting arrivals and departures through luggage assistance, resident deliveries, and thoughtful recognition, always addressing residents by name and maintaining a composed, welcoming presence.
• Bring our values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together, and Creativity to life, contributing to the Dorchester Collection “We Care” philosophy while creating moments of recognition and connection for residents and their guests.
• Perform as a high‑energy, visible front‑of‑house role that requires attentive, well‑presented, and service‑focused behavior throughout your shift, including standing for extended periods and supporting physically active tasks such as luggage handling and resident deliveries.
• Ensure effective communication and shift handovers, maintain full knowledge of residence policies, procedures, and facilities, and demonstrate flexibility by supporting both day and night shifts as operational needs require.

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a Lobby Host, but we’ll provide specifics on how we care for our residence, our residents, and our colleagues at AVA at Palm Jumeirah.

What you'll bring

• Warm personality, attention to detail, and passion for luxury service to the role and the Residences team.
• Talent for creating unforgettable first impressions, multitasking gracefully in a fast‑paced environment, and maintaining a consistently high level of service with confidence and empathy.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role or within a luxury hotel or branded residential environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaboration across teams, and contributing positively to a strong service culture.
• English as the primary language used at AVA; comfortable communication in this language. Additional languages are an advantage.
