Job summary

reeqwest in Abu Dhabi is seeking a professional Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef's directives. You will apply culinary expertise and managerial skills to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain service standards in a busy kitchen.

You will design and help prepare menus, oversee kitchen operations, mentor staff, and ensure sanitation and safety compliance. This role requires composure under pressure and a proactive mindset to resolve problems and sustain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Strong understanding of diverse cooking methods and ingredients.
• Track record of effective kitchen and staff management.
• Ability to stay accurate and swift in emergencies and high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
• Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
