The ideal candidate has proven experience in fine dining, excels under pressure, and communicates effectively in English. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities for creativity and leadership in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the kitchen
• Create new and innovative dishes while maintaining the restaurant's signature style
• Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high quality standards
• Ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times
• Manage inventory and control food costs by minimizing waste and ensuring proper portion control
• Collaborate with other departments such as front of house to ensure seamless service delivery
• Help plan menus, create specials, and maintain recipe standards
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
