Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Chief Resident Engineer with a Bridges & Infrastructure background to lead a large project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will supervise the consultant team, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver world-class infrastructure.

The role requires 20+ years in civil engineering, including senior/resident engineer experience, and a license or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of professional civil engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or resident engineer / construction manager capacity.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects with budgets exceeding AED 50 million.
• Professional engineering license or equivalent certification in civil/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across all project phases, including feasibility studies, detailed design, construction management, and commissioning.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently while maintaining cost-effectiveness and minimizing risks.
• Mentor and supervise a team of resident engineers and technical staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards throughout all project activities.

Education

Professional engineering license or equivalent certification in civil/structural engineering
