Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer – Infrastructure/Bridges in Abu Dhabi to lead on-site supervision for major bridge and infrastructure works. You will manage the supervision team, monitor progress and ensure compliance with drawings, specs and contractual requirements.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects with strong leadership and coordination skills. UAE project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Experience supervising major infrastructure and bridge projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of bridge structures, foundations, piling, concrete works, roads and utilities.
• Experience leading site supervision teams and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site supervision for bridge and infrastructure projects.
• Supervise bridges: foundations, piling, abutments, piers, decks and joints.
• Oversee roads, earthworks, drainage, utilities and related infrastructure works.
• Coordinate supervision team including engineers, inspectors and surveyors.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, methods and programmes.
• Monitor progress, quality and compliance with drawings and specs.
• Communicate with contractor, client and authorities to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor programme, manpower, equipment and resources, identify delays.
