Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dubai seeks a Lead Systems Specialist - Industrial Refrigeration to guide projects from tender review through handover, ensuring safety, accuracy, and design integrity. You will work with sales, operations, CAD, and suppliers to develop technically sound, commercially balanced solutions.

You will lead detailed engineering, support startup and commissioning, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize project execution across MEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience designing industrial refrigeration systems or large, complex commercial refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration design principles, equipment selection, and system concept development.
• Experience preparing technical calculations, cost estimates, process flow diagrams, and technical submittals.
• Ability to review tender documents and support start-up and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and support technical clarifications during the pre-sales phase.
• Conduct site surveys and participate in technical meetings with customers, consultants, and internal teams.
• Prepare technical calculations, refrigeration load calculations, system concepts, equipment selections, cost estimates, and quotation text.
• Develop process flow diagrams, initial layouts, technical submittals, and design briefs with CAD support.
• Lead detailed engineering development and review drawings, specifications, and documentation for execution.
• Support start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, handover, and retrofit or upgrade projects.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, procurement, and supply chain to support customer needs and project financial results.
