Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dubai seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering across IREF projects, ensuring technical compliance, timely deliverables, and seamless integration between design, procurement and site execution.

You will support pre-sales activities, review tender documentation, perform initial technical calculations, prepare system concepts, and provide technical leadership through commissioning and post-sales support to protect margin and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
Minimum of five years’ experience in industrial refrigeration or large-scale EPC projects.

Responsibilities

Engineering coordination — lead and coordinate all engineering activities across project phases.
Technical compliance — ensure materials, drawings and installations meet standards.
Design review — review IFC/shop drawings and changes; provide clarifications.
Material submittals — prepare, review and track submittals for approvals.
Procurement support — provide technical evaluation for suppliers and subcontractors.
Site technical support — resolve site issues and guide installation.
Interface management — manage interfaces between design, procurement, QA/QC and site execution.
QA/QC support — inspections, NCR resolutions and verification of workmanship.
Risk identification — identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
Documentation — ensure testing and commissioning docs are complete and delivered on time.
Progress reporting — weekly updates and recovery plans with Planning.
Margin protection — minimize deviations and delays impacting gross margin.
