Job summary

Abu Dhabi Manpower Supply is seeking a commissioning professional in the United Arab Emirates to lead engineers and technicians through SAT, loop testing and functional testing. The role requires coordinating QA/QC and audits, reviewing project docs, and reporting progress and issues to management.

The incumbent will interface with multiple disciplines, prepare procedures, plan vendor activities and ensure adequate spares for subsystem testing, while upholding HSE standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide engineers on technical issues during commissioning
• Direct daily SAT, loop testing and functional testing activities
• Support and troubleshoot DCS, ESD, HIPPS, AMS and OPC systems
• Coordinate QA/QC compliance and internal / client audits
• Report design issues and lessons learned to management
• Review project documentation and scope of work
• Report to the Commissioning Team Leader per the project organization chart
• Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities
• Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required
• Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions
• Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities
• Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing
• Perform inter-discipline checks
• Identify design failures and lessons learned
• Comply with HSE standards
• Reports to: Senior Project Commissioning Manager / Project Commissioning Manager. Supervises: Lead / Senior Discipline Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians.
