Job summary

Abu Dhabi Manpower Supply is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities and supervise a team of technicians. The role focuses on directing testing, coordinating with QA/QC, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety standards.

The candidate will interface with clients, review electrical scope of work, and manage documentation, including method statements and commissioning databases.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical issues to electrical engineers and supervisors
• Direct daily electrical SAT, energization and functional testing
• Provide technical support on transformers, HV/LV switchboards, motors and relay protection systems
• Coordinate with QA/QC for quality compliance and internal / client audits
• Analyze technical issues, initiate corrective action and report to line management
• Interface with client, attend project meetings and ensure progress to schedule
• Ensure testing documents are available and coordinate corrective action with field engineering
• Review project documentation and electrical scope of work
• Undertake functional and operational tests for electrical systems
• Assist in pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database
• Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities
• Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required
• Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions
• Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities
• Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing
• Perform inter-discipline checks
• Identify design failures and lessons learned
• Comply with HSE standards
