Job summary

Abu Dhabi Manpower Supply in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Commissioning Technician/Engineer to ensure that assigned commissioning tasks are implemented per standards and procedures. You will lead technicians, coordinate with disciplines, and supervise progress and readiness of plant systems.

The role focuses on planning, testing, and startup activities, with strong emphasis on safety and effective communication to identify risks and deliver on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing plans and method statements including P&ID mark-ups for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of process systems
• Identify test equipment required and ensure it is in safe condition
• Undertake functional and operational tests for process systems
• Assist in chemical cleaning, leak testing, catalyst loading, steam blowing, package unit start-up and plant start-up and stabilization
• Inspect all systems for operational readiness
• Assist in database preparation for pre-commissioning status index
• Receive project documentation and understand scope of work
• Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities
• Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required
• Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions
• Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities
• Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing
• Perform inter-discipline checks
• Comply with HSE standards
• Reports to: Project Commissioning Manager. Supervises: Discipline Supervisors and Technicians.
