Job summary

Abu Dhabi Manpower Supply seeks a seasoned Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities for complex projects in the UAE. You will steer rotating and static equipment commissioning, coordinate with vendors, prepare procedures, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning rotating and static equipment.
• Ability to prepare method statements and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead technicians and coordinate multi-discipline activities.

Job Purpose

Ensures that commissioning tasks assigned are properly implemented as per work standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Produce project specific procedures, preservation and maintenance check sheets, matrix and schedules

Identify and resolve technical problems with rotating / static equipment, packages and valves, or coordinate with vendor

Preserve and maintain rotating equipment after commissioning and start-up

Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor technical bids for specialist services

Assess special tools, temporary facilities and equipment required for pre-commissioning and commissioning

Participate in model reviews for accessibility and maintainability

Guide rotating equipment activities: lube oil flushing, alignment, lubrication, vibration checks, start-up

Guide static equipment activities such as installation of vessel internals

Guide air blowing, flushing, leak testing, drying and inserting of piping

Guide mechanical interlock, pipeline pigging, spring support, hot and cold setting

Identify test equipment and ensure it is in safe condition

Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities

Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities

Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required

Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions

Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities

Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing

Perform inter-discipline checks

Identify design failures and lessons learned

Comply with HSE standards
