Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to conduct land and engineering surveys for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction projects. You will perform site surveys, set out works, and establish control points in line with approved drawings and project requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of UAE experience in bridge-related surveys, with proficiency in Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in bridge construction, bridge maintenance, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience in setting out and surveying works for bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects.
• Valid UAE Driving License and own car are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land and engineering surveys for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction projects.
• Perform site surveys, measurements, and setting out works as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates for project activities.
• Carry out topographic surveys, alignment checks, level surveys, and as-built surveys for bridge structures and related works.
• Prepare survey reports, drawings, and documentation accurately and maintain proper survey records.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate execution of works.
• Verify site dimensions, levels, and positions of structural elements before and during construction activities.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other survey instruments.
• Ensure survey activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation.
• Identify and report any discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.

What do we need from you

• Proven experience in setting out and surveying works for bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects.


• Good knowledge of surveying methods, calculations, and interpretation of engineering drawings.


• Experience with Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects will be an advantage.


• Valid UAE Driving License and own car are mandatory.
