LAND SURVEYOR

Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced land surveyor to support electrical infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will perform land and site surveys, setting-out for street lighting, duct works, and HV/LV cable routes, and verify coordinates, levels and elevations per approved drawings.

You will document survey records, ensure compliance with DEWA requirements, and collaborate with site engineers and consultants.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in street lighting, duct works, HV/LV cable infrastructure surveying.
• Valid DEWA Approval is mandatory.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, setting-out, levels, coordinates, and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out land and site surveys for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Conduct setting-out and surveying for street lighting, duct works, HV and LV cable routes.
• Establish and verify coordinates, levels, alignments, and elevations per approved drawings.
• Survey cable trenches, ducts, manholes, foundations, and other electrical works.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, measurements, and reports.
• Ensure all surveys follow approved drawings, project specs, and DEWA requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, consultants and site teams.
• Check site conditions and identify discrepancies with drawings.
• Assist in preparing as-built survey information and documentation.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments (Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS).
• Ensure accuracy of all measurements and setting-out works.
• Follow all HSE requirements and safe practices.

Job description

3. Establish and verify coordinates, levels, alignments, and elevations as per approved drawings.

4. Conduct surveys for cable trenches, ducts, manholes, foundations, and other electrical infrastructure works.

5. Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, measurements, and reports.

6. Ensure all survey works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, and DEWA requirements.

7. Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, consultants, and other site teams.

8. Check existing site conditions and identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.

9. Assist in preparing as-built survey information and documentation.

10. Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and other relevant equipment.

11. Ensure accuracy of all measurements and setting-out works.

12. Follow all project HSE requirements and safe working practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma/Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in street lighting, duct works, HV and LV cable infrastructure.

• Valid DEWA Approval is mandatory.

• Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, setting-out, levels, coordinates, and measurements.

• Experience with Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and related surveying equipment.

• Good knowledge of electrical infrastructure and utility projects.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Relevant UAE/GCC experience in electrical infrastructure surveying, including street lighting, duct, HV and LV cable works, is preferred.
