Job summary

Millennium Downtown Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis I to assist in various kitchen tasks and food preparation. You will learn and master culinary techniques while supporting chefs and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

The role offers exposure to multiple kitchen sections, with opportunities to learn recipes, standards, and food safety practices, contributing to a collaborative and hygienic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in the preparation and execution of dishes.
• Learn and follow established recipes and culinary standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Work in different sections of the kitchen to gain experience.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with senior chefs and colleagues to support kitchen operations.
• Participate in the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Assist in stocking and inventory management of kitchen supplies.
• Follow guidance from senior chefs to enhance culinary skills.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, learning, and culinary excellence.
• Attend training sessions and culinary development opportunities.
• Support in maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Execute tasks assigned by senior chefs and supervisors.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
