Job summary

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to prepare ingredients, portion food, and support daily cooking operations. You will wash, chop, measure, and store components, and help maintain accurate temperature controls and cleanliness.

You will operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, follow recipes and safety standards, and work closely with the team to ensure quality and timely service in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing.
• Wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients; prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; monitor food quality during preparation.
• Follow safety policies, report maintenance and safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation; ensure proper temperature controls.
• Communicate professionally; work as part of a team to meet goals.
