Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in procurement for steel or architectural metal fabrication.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and understand material specifications.
• Knowledge of metal grades, sheet and section sizes, decorative finishes, and fabrication components.
• Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, cost comparison, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/ERP systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills; UAE supplier market experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source steel, stainless steel, aluminum, hardware, finishes, and other materials for projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to confirm material needs.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate prices and terms, prepare purchase orders, and track deliveries.
• Coordinate with design, production, and site teams to resolve material questions.
• Check deliveries against orders and address shortages or quality issues.
• Maintain supplier records, procurement reports, and purchasing docs.
