Job summary

Litco Industries is seeking a results-driven Procurement Specialist / Engineer to lead end-to-end procurement for steel structures and related construction projects in the UAE. The role involves sourcing structural steel materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing POs, and coordinating with engineering and site teams to meet project goals.

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Procurement Specialist / Procurement Engineer / Technical Purchasing Specialist to join our team in the UAE.The ideal candidate should have experience in structural steel, steel fabrication, PEB, industrial construction, or steel erection projects. However, candidates with relevant procurement experience in civil construction, MEP, infrastructure, façade, aluminium, EPC, and other engineering or construction industries are also encouraged to apply.The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring cost-effective procurement for ongoing projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for steel structure, construction, fabrication, and engineering projects.

• Source and purchase structural steel materials, plates, beams, channels, angles, pipes, hollow sections, and fabrication consumables.

• Handle procurement of bolts, fasteners, welding consumables, paints, coatings, mechanical components, and other construction materials.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.

• Prepare and process RFQs, RFPs, purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), and comparative statements.

• Review technical specifications, BOQs, material requisitions, drawings, and project requirements.

• Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.

• Coordinate with engineering, estimation, production, project management, and site teams.

• Monitor supplier performance, procurement schedules, material availability, and delivery commitments.

• Ensure purchased materials comply with approved technical specifications, quality standards, and project budgets.

• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, purchase tracking reports, and cost comparisons.

• Support project cost optimization, supplier development, and procurement planning.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Relevant procurement or purchasing experience in the UAE construction or engineering industry.

• Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel construction, or PEB projects will be a strong advantage.

• Candidates from civil construction, MEP, infrastructure, façade, aluminium, industrial projects, or EPC contracting backgrounds are welcome.

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical purchasing, supplier sourcing, and vendor management.

• Experience in RFQ preparation, quotation comparison, purchase order processing, and commercial negotiations.

• Ability to interpret BOQs, technical specifications, and material requirements.

• Good knowledge of UAE suppliers, construction material markets, and procurement practices.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement documentation.

• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
