Swissotel Al Murooj in downtown Dubai is seeking a Commis to join the kitchen team. You will work under the Chef de Cuisine or senior chefs to prepare mise en place and deliver high-quality dishes on schedule.

The role requires a minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining, strong knife skills, HACCP knowledge and fluent English. You will maintain hygiene, assist in multiple stations, and support cost control initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or culinary training required.
• Minimum 1 year of documented experience as a Commis in fine dining or upscale hotel environment.
• Proficiency in mise en place and knife skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Supervise station and ensure high-quality, consistent dishes.
• Prepare mise en place and work with senior chefs.
• Follow recipes, plating standards, and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper stock rotation.
• Assist in cross-training and other duties as assigned.
