Job summary

SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences is hiring a Commis 3 to join the luxury 5-star kitchen team in Downtown Dubai. You will assist with ingredient preparation, portioning, and cooking to ensure high-quality dishes according to HACCP standards.

The role requires a couple of years of cooking experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous plating and food safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of cooking/kitchen experience in an accredited restaurant or hotel.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Wash and peel fruits and vegetables to prepare them for cooking.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
• Serve food in proper portions onto dishes, ensuring appealing presentation.
