Job summary

SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences is seeking a Commis 2 to assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations at a luxury 5-star property in Dubai. You will help with food preparation, mise en place and service readiness, while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include following recipes, ensuring correct portions and presentation, supporting various kitchen sections, and upholding HACCP and sanitation procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary qualification preferred.
• Good command of English and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards.
• Carry out mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
• Maintain food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation.
• Support with restaurant, buffet, banquet and other kitchen operations.
• Monitor food prep during service and ensure timely completion.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
• Keep workstation and equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with stock control and communicate shortages.
