Job summary

Rixos Hotels in Dubai invites applications for a culinary position within our luxury hotel. The role requires preparing station inventories, stepping in for colleagues as needed, and ensuring adherence to standard recipes and plating guides.

You will liaise with the Executive Sous Chef on market lists, costing, and events to support special promotions. Applicants should have a vocational hospitality diploma or degree and 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• 1-2 years experience in 4-5 star hotel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inventory list for station.
• Fill in for another chef when absent from another station; basic knowledge required.
• Ensure standard recipes and plating guides are followed at all times.
• Provide Executive Sous Chef with daily market list and quality checks of goods received.
• Provide recipes and costing as required by Executive Sous Chef & Executive Chef.
• Assist with special Food Promotions, Events and other Food-related activities for outlet.
• Interact with Outlet Supervisors daily to ensure items are explained to outlets.
• Control food wastage without compromising quality.
• Maintain records/documentation as per operational control requirements.
• Attend training classes and cooperate with team and other departments.
