Job summary

Segula Technologies is seeking an experienced Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis to join the Finance Department in Dubai. The role focuses on daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close within IFRS and local standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, record, and reconcile financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with policies and standards.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Ensure IFRS compliance in reporting and local standards.
• Prepare financial information and summarize financial performance.
• Review and process petty cash transactions and expense claims.
• Maintain lease accounting records in accordance with IFRS 16.
• Update lease accounting tools and ensure accurate entries in BC365.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasts.
• Support preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with location-based and activity-based financial analysis and cost allocation.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, controls, and financial regulations.
• Support external audit activities and audit recommendations.
• Contribute to improving accounting procedures and financial controls.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure data accuracy.
