Job summary

Element MEA in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team. You will manage day-to-day accounting, maintain ledgers, perform reconciliations and support month-end closing and audits.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years UAE accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP software skills, and a practical understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR, General Ledger, and reconciliations.
• Experience with multiple entities is preferred.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier and inter-company reconciliations.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and properly documented.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and management data for multiple group companies.
• Provide financial information and supporting documents to the Internal Audit team.
• Support the Tax & Compliance team with financial data, VAT/Corporate Tax workings and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing, audits and financial reporting.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

Our client is a UAE-based techno-commercial group delivering engineering, lifting and industrial solutions across Energy, Oil & Gas, Marine, Construction, Infrastructure and Material Handling, with multiple businesses and group entities.

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on UAE Accounting experience

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field

3+ years of UAE accounting experience

Strong knowledge of AP/AR, General Ledger, reconciliations and day-to-day accounting

Good command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software

Basic understanding of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax

Experience With Multiple Entities/group Companies Is Preferred
