Tanqeeb in Dubai, UAE seeks a finance professional to handle end-to-end accounting duties in a fast-paced environment. The role covers invoicing, VAT, intercompany balances, and month-end closing, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 2 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in trading or commodity sectors. Fluent English is required.

Review and record supplier/customer invoices and other documents in accordance with IFRS, tax legislation, and internal policies.
Ensure correct accounting and tax treatment and recognition of revenue, COGS, expenses, prepayments, and accruals in accordance with regulations and internal policies.
Correctly allocate purchase, freight, transportation, customs, and other trading costs to the relevant sales transactions; ensure accurate tracking of gross profit by sale/agreement.
Record bank transactions based on bank statements and perform regular bank reconciliations. No payment processing.
Perform regular customer and supplier SOA reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions (sales, purchases, loans, others), ensuring accurate balances between group companies.
Review tax invoices and VAT treatment and prepare accounting data and supporting documents for UAE VAT returns.
Act as the main accounting user of the e-invoicing system, including sending, receiving, and reviewing e-invoices and interaction with ASP.
Record and reconcile inventory transactions and balances and ensure inventory-related costs are correctly reflected in the ERP system.
Investigate inventory discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments.
Participate in monthly and year-end closing in accordance with the Company's month-closing procedure.
Prepare required reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and other closing adjustments.
Work closely with the company's departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
Perform other general accounting tasks as required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field.
2+ years of UAE accounting experience.
Experience in trading/import-export or commodity business is preferred.
Experience with an ERP/accounting system.
Good knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
Good knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
Good knowledge of UAE E-invoicing requirements.
Good command of English, written and spoken.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
