MTEC Electromechanical Works LLC is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor – Electrical to support our QS and Estimation team with quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, tendering, variations, valuations and project cost control.
Diploma or Bachelor's in QS or Electrical Engineering is required, with 1–2 years of experience in QS/Estimation, preferably in MEP or electrical contracting. Proficiency in MS Excel is essential; AutoCAD is a plus.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents.
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from tender, IFC and shop drawings.
Prepare and verify BOQs for electrical and ELV works.
Measure quantities for cables, wires, cable trays, trunking, conduits, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection and ELV systems.
Prepare material quantity schedules and measurement sheets.
Assist in preparing cost estimates and basic rate analysis.
Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison statements.
Check prices, scope, exclusions and commercial terms of quotations.
Assist with tender pricing, submissions, clarifications and revised drawings.
Support preparation of variations, additional works and cost claims.
Assist in interim valuations, payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
Monitor BOQ quantities, executed quantities, variations and project costs.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Site Teams.
Identify discrepancies in drawings, BOQs, specifications and quantities.
Maintain proper records of quotations, BOQs, take-offs, variations and commercial documents.
Provide day-to-day support to the Senior QS / Estimation Manager

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in QS/Estimation, preferably in MEP or electrical contracting.
Good knowledge of electrical drawings, BOQs and quantity measurement.
Knowledge of electrical materials and installation works.
Good proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
