Job summary

Careers at UAE is seeking an IT Technical Support Officer based in Dubai. This role involves providing Level 1 and 2 support during a Windows 11 upgrade project, troubleshooting various IT issues, and maintaining accurate documentation of incidents.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in IT, 1-3 years of experience in service support, and familiarity with mainstream ticketing systems. This is a 6-month office-based contract position with opportunities for learning and growth.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience with IT infrastructure and service support.
• Hands-on experience with mass upgrade/migration scenarios (Windows 10 to Windows 11 preferred).
• Certification in ITIL/ISM or similar is advantageous.

IT Technical Support Officer

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

• IT Technical support Officer
• Working at Dubai, UAE

Our ICT teams play a critical role in the smooth running of our business. With complex, challenging projects being tackled every day, we need people who are skilled in making sure effective IT support is available in the right place and at the right time.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide Level 1 and 2 support to internal users during the Windows 11 upgrade project.
• Support in troubleshooting of hardware, printer/print server, MS Windows, Standard Microsoft Software, Outlook Client, network (WLAN, LAN, network equipment), and other in-house application issues
• Ensure user readiness before migration and provide post-migration support.
• Work closely with the IT Service Desk to elevate and track incidents as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions within the ticketing system

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Minimum Degree in IT or equivalent
• 1‑3 years’ experience with IT infrastructure and service support
• Experience in supporting Business Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Networking, Activate Directory Domain, Windows OS
• Hands‑on experience with mass upgrade/migration scenarios (Windows 10 to Windows 11 preferred)
• Team player and able to work with minimal supervision
• Service‑mindful and good problem‑solving skills
• Experience with mainstream ticketing system (TOPdesk, Servicenow, etc.) (Advantageous)
• Certification in ITIL/ISM or similar (Advantageous)
