Job summary

Salt is seeking a skilled IT Service Desk / Field Service Engineer in Abu Dhabi to join their technology team. The role involves on-site support, resolving hardware, software and network issues, and ensuring high-quality end-user service in a fast-paced environment.

You will provide first- and second-line support, maintain devices, manage Active Directory and Microsoft 365 access, and assist with site moves and IT asset inventory while adhering to SLAs.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience: 2-4 years in IT support roles (service desk and/or field service).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, and common business apps.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN).
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools (ServiceNow).
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work shifts and provide on-site support as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobiles).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor and resolve incidents within SLAs, escalating when necessary.
• Provide on-site IT support for offices, retail locations or remote sites.
• Assist with site moves, new office setups, and decommissioning IT assets.
• Maintain IT asset inventory with timely updates.
• Document steps and fixes in the knowledge base.
