Job summary

Focus Direct in the UAE is seeking an IT Operations Director to lead the IT Service Department, ensuring effective staffing, productivity and performance across the organization.

The role oversees IT infrastructure and networks, reviews systems, manages budgets, and drives cost reduction while keeping abreast of cutting-edge technologies. UAE Nationals only, candidates should have a Bachelor's in IT (Master's preferred) and 5–6 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Masters would be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5–6 years of IT leadership experience.
• Team management is essential.
• Experience in writing and reviewing technical RFPs.
• Proven track record in implementing IT systems to enhance performance.

Responsibilities

• Direct the management and operation of IT infrastructure and communication networks.
• Review existing systems and create new and enhanced methods.
• Develop and manage department budgets, perform cost analysis and cost reduction.
• Oversee staffing of the department to ensure effective delivery.
• Evaluate vendors and proposals for additional services, products and equipment.
• Provide leadership in development and implementation of new systems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
