Job summary

Eeternal Developments seeks an experienced IT Manager to establish and operate the complete IT infrastructure for its new Dubai office. You will be hands-on, ensuring reliable hardware, software, connectivity, cybersecurity and user support in a professional environment.

Dubai experience is essential. You will manage ERP systems, Microsoft 365, and CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) while maintaining data security and business continuity for future growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of IT management/infrastructure experience, UAE preferred.
• Experience setting up and managing IT infrastructure in an office environment.
• Strong networking, Windows, Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity and backup knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and CAD/BIM design software is desirable.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to set up, manage and maintain the complete IT infrastructure for our new Dubai office.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all IT systems, hardware, software, connectivity, cybersecurity and user support operate reliably and efficiently. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who has experience setting up and managing IT infrastructure for a professional office environment in Dubai/UAE, preferably within an architecture, engineering, real estate, construction or design-related organisation. Prior experience working in Dubai is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, set up and manage the complete IT infrastructure for the new Dubai office.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, servers, networking equipment, Wi‑Fi, printers, scanners and other IT hardware.
• Manage the office network, internet connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls and related infrastructure.
• Set up and administer email systems, user accounts, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace and other business applications.
• Manage installation, configuration, licensing and maintenance of ERP and business management software.
• Support and manage software used by architectural and design teams, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other CAD/BIM/design applications.
• Ensure appropriate hardware specifications and performance for high‑end architectural and design workloads.
• Implement and maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls and cybersecurity systems.
• Establish robust data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Manage shared drives, cloud storage, access permissions and data security.
• Install and maintain printers, scanners, digital display boards, meeting‑room technology, video conferencing systems and other office technology.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, software licences, warranties and maintenance contracts.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of all IT hardware, software and licences.
• Establish IT policies relating to cybersecurity, passwords, access control, backups, acceptable usage and data protection.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential IT issues.
• Coordinate with external IT service providers and specialist vendors where required.
• Ensure that IT infrastructure is scalable and capable of supporting the company's future growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant IT management/infrastructure experience, preferably with experience in the UAE.
• Prior experience working in Dubai is essential.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing IT infrastructure for an office environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows systems, Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity and backup solutions.
• Experience managing ERP systems and business applications.
• Experience supporting CAD/BIM and architectural design software is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of hardware requirements for design‑intensive workstations.
• Experience with printers, scanners, digital displays, video conferencing and other office technology.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience managing IT vendors and third‑party service providers in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of IT security, data protection and backup/disaster recovery practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the company's IT environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Experience in an architecture, engineering, real estate, construction or professional services environment will be strongly preferred.
• UAE driving licence would be an advantage.
