Job summary

Good co India seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Leader to oversee enterprise IT systems, including servers, virtualization, storage, networks and cloud platforms.

The role demands hands-on expertise in Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, hybrid cloud, backup/DR, and strong ITIL governance plus vendor management to ensure high availability and modernization.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in enterprise IT infrastructure administration, operations, or leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, cloud).
• Manage Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and hybrid cloud environments for high availability.
• Plan, implement, and oversee upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refresh.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and security using enterprise tools.
• Ensure business continuity through robust backup, DR and HA solutions.
• Lead modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and data center optimization.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud and app teams on integrated solutions.
• Establish infrastructure standards, security policies, procedures, and IT governance.
• Drive automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or IaC tools.
• Manage ITIL processes: incident, problem, change, release management.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, support, and delivery.
• Prepare documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and reports.
• Mentor engineers and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Manage and support Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and hybrid cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Plan, implement, and oversee infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Ensure business continuity through robust backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and data center optimization projects.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, security policies, operational procedures, and IT governance.
• Drive infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Manage incident, problem, change, and release management activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and stakeholders for infrastructure procurement, support, and project delivery.
• Prepare infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational reports.
• Mentor and lead infrastructure engineers, assign work, and ensure timely delivery of operational and project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, regulatory requirements, and audit recommendations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7 to 12 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure administration, operations, or infrastructure leadership.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, and enterprise virtualization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience managing enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Good understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and identity management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, performance optimization, and security hardening.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, change management, incident management, and service delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, vendor management, and project coordination skills.
• VMware VCP, Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, RHCE, CCNP, or ITIL certifications are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline; a master's degree is an added advantage for leadership roles.
