Job summary

Halian Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks an IT Field Engineer (Al Ain) to provide day-to-day onsite technical support for end-user hardware and software at educational institutions across the UAE.

You will maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom, and network systems, troubleshoot issues, install and update software, and document resolutions while keeping stakeholders updated and meeting SLA expectations.

UAE driving license and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc in a technical IT field.
• Minimum three years in OS support and end-user troubleshooting.
• Must have UAE driving license and own transport.
• Experience with Office 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day onsite IT support for end users across educational institutions in the UAE.
• Support desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom, and network systems including hardware and software.
• Install, configure, and update end-user software and document resolutions.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Service Desk and end users until resolution.
• Meet SLA for work ticket requests, assess and prioritize incidents, and resolve critical issues.
• Take initiative to respond, resolve and follow up on customer service issues.

Responsibilities:

• This role will provide day-to-day onsite technical support for end user hardware and software issues at educational institutions across the UAE.
• You will be responsible for providing routine, technical support and maintenance for desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom, and network systems including hardware, application software, operating systems, and connectivity.
• Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues and document resolution and support as needed in addition to installing, configuring, and updating end-user desktop and laptop software with support as needed.
• You will also ensure that the Service Desk and or end user is provided with regular progress updates until resolution is confirmed
• Meet SLA for work client ticket requests, assess and prioritize incidents while investigating & resolving critical incidents
• Take initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Qualifications and Skills:

• BSc. degree in a technical field related to Information Technology
• Minimum three years in Operating Systems support, end user device troubleshooting & support
• Customer service focused
• Problem solving and innovation capabilitiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal/nonverbal
• Interpersonal Skills
• Must have extensive Office 365 experience, all applications, with administration exposure if possible
• Experience with a recognized ITSM tool (Remedy, ManageEngine, ServiceDesk, Ivanti, etc)
• Must have a basic understanding of networks
• UAE driving license and own transport is essential
